Update, May 25:
The final ID of the WoW: Burning Crusade Classic pre-patch phase is starting soon, and Blizzard has - as announced - opened the Darkmoon Faire early so you can take advantage of the Faire over the next few days. You can find the tents in the south of Thunderrock in Mulgore until May 31.
As an Alliance player, the best way to reach the Mulgore festivities is to take the ship in Booty Bay towards Ratchet and then cross the Barrens in a southwesterly direction. At Camp Taurajo you will find the entrance to Mulgore. All fighters under the red banner, meanwhile, need only head to the Thunder Bluff flypoint and leave town in a southwesterly direction.
Find out what you can expect there in our special Darkmoon Faire - Card Sets, Quests, Minigames, and More. Here's the short and sweet summary:
The next Darkmoon Faire won't open again until June in Elwynn Forest, and that's after the launch of Burning Crusade Classic.
Original post from May 21:
As we all know, the pre-patch phase of WoW: Burning Crusade Classic started this week and will run until the final launch of TBC Classic on June 02. Now Community Manager Kaivax has announced in the official WoW forum that we can look forward to two exciting special features during this short transition phase, which were actually not on the plan.
Special Note #1: Following the May 20 PvP Honor hotfix
, Blizzard has now decided to double the honor received from all sources for the remainder of the pre-patch period. This includes the honor bonus from the Battlegrounds holidays as well as the honor from the new Daily PvP quest. Speaking of holidays, Arathi Basin holidays will be on the schedule this weekend, followed by Alterac Valley next week. All of these changes are scheduled to go live with the next server restart. The developers are responding to the desire of many players to earn some of the Rank 13 and Rank 14 items for their characters during the pre-patch phase, which would not have been possible for many with the very low honor yield after the hotfix.
Special feature #2:
The developers are bringing forward the next Darkmoon Faire so that we can also enjoy the special benefits of the Faire for a few days during the pre-patch phase. Specifically, the tents will go up for a week on Monday, May 24, and it will be in Mulgore. Then in June, it's on to Elwynn Forest. What do you think of these announcements? Tell us in the comments!
