Even those who weren't a fan of the newly introduced arenas in WoW Burning Crusade would spend a little time in the 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5 battles to earn a good rating and buy really cool weapons for their hero. This will be similar in WoW Burning Crusade Classic. However, the patch status at the launch of Burning Crusade Classic is much different than when Outland was released. And because of that, the developers of BC Classic have now decided during the beta to readjust the ratings as well as the rating requirements for buying items.
Unlike the launch of Burning Crusade, a Hero with Burning Crusade Classic will not start at a personal arena rating of 1,500 points, but at 0. Community Manager Kaivax explains, " One change from the original game is that team and personal ratings will start at 0, not 1500, because we want players to work with their team to improve and increase their rating, rather than giving up because playing will only cause their rating to go down. However, we also recognize that teams that are starting out or still learning may feel unfairly disadvantaged by a lower rating than what they could have achieved in 2007. While the updated MMR system will quickly increase your score for your first wins, we wanted to make sure that the points you could expect to earn as you improved were also similar."
Because of this, the amount of points you'll receive for a win when you're below a 1,500 rating will be changed, as follows:
"We will be increasing Arena Points for teams and players with a rating of less than 1500. If you have a rating between 200 and 1,500 you will earn:
The formula for calculating a rating above 1,500 remains unchanged.
On top of that, the developers realize that it was a bit naive to apply Season 4 requirements for buying arena items in Season 1. Therefore, the following requirements will be applied to the purchase of shoulder pieces and weapons:
The creators of WoW (buy now 14,99 € ) do not rule out, however, that it may come in terms of scoring requirements in season 3 and 4 of WoW Burning Crusade Classic.
