though Patch 2.5.2 has been online for a little while, Phase 2 of WoW: Burning Crusade Classic will only start in the upcoming ID. More precisely: In the night from September 15 to 16, at 0:01 am. In this overview article, we have once again summarized all the new features that will enrich Outland as of Thursday. You can also find out how to kill the bosses in the new raid instances, how to farm for reputation with the new factions, and what else there is to know about the Phase 2 content.
Phase 2 of TBC Classic gives us access to the two raid challenges, Serpentshrine and Eye in the Fortress of Storms, that were part of the launch package back in 2007.
After the two raid quickies in Phase 1, the Serpentshrine is the first halfway large 25-player instance you will enter in the TBC era. A total of six bosses await you in the center of Zanga Marsh. However, before you can march through the entrance and ride the (beware! Deadly!) elevator down, you must first complete a series of quests that will take you to the slave quarters, where Nar'biss the Heretic will give you the quest The Cudgel of Kar'desh. You complete this quest by defeating Gruul and the Terror of the Night (Karazhan). By doing so, you will receive The Mark of Vashj, which will grant you access to the Serpentshrine.
Important: Two bosses in the Serpentshrine require selected players in your raid to obtain Resistance gear! When fighting Hydross, you will need a tank with as much Frost Resistance as possible and a tank with as much Nature Resistance as possible. It can also help if your add tanks have some Frost and Nature Resistance gear equipped. The fight against Leotheras, meanwhile, requires a player (preferably a Warlock) with as high a Fire Resistance value as possible to tank the boss' Demon form.

The second raid of phase 2 also requires you to complete a (long) series of quests before you can enter the Fortress of Storms. However, before you can take on the actual quest for the Key of St orms at Khadgar, you must first complete a long chain of quests in Shadowmoon Vale, which include killing several elite enemies. To obtain the key, you will then be sent to the Shattered Halls, Shadow Maze, Steam Chamber, and Arkatraz dungeons.
Last but not least is Magtheridon. It's worth the effort, as you'll need to defeat the final boss, Kael'thas, to progress to Stage 3 (unlocking Tier 6 raid access). In addition, the final battle against Kael'thas can result in the dropping of one of the most sought-after mounts in Outland. Oh, and there's Tier 5 set pieces and other great loot, too, of course.
For the bosses in the eye, you don't necessarily need resistance gear. Only the high astromancer Solarian takes a lot of arcane damage on the raid. Depending on which version of the boss will end up on the live servers, it can be helpful to protect yourself at least somewhat, with Purple Badge and Large Arcane Protection Potions for example.

With the Ogri'la from Outland Ridge and the Sha'tari Skyguard, two new factions enter the focus of Outland adventuring that are somewhat interconnected, provide you with multiple dailies, and entice you with various rewards. The following guides will tell you which requirements you have to fulfill, how to farm the respective reputation and which loot is available in detail:
The overview of all factions in TBC Classic can be found here:
Especially the quests around the Skettis should be tried out, because there you can expect one of the best gold farming methods of the TBC era.

The regional server reboots on September 15 will kick off the second PvP season of the Burning Crusade Classic era, according to Blizzard. Season 1 rewards will be awarded on September 22. So what can we expect for the second PvP season?
Of course, all the improvements already implemented will remain available:
However, Phase 2 has another highlight to offer. Druids can finally earn their epic flight form via a quest chain. And thanks to the associated quest chain, there might be one or two players who will play the heroic version of Sethekk Halls up and down from now on in order to earn the mount Raven Lord. You can read all about the Raven Lord and the quest line here:

Blizzard had announced plans to tone down the Tier 4 content with Phase 2. There was no info about this in the patch notes yet. We already had a look at what nerfs there were in the original TBC for the dungeons and raids of Phase 1. What's definitely coming with Phase 2: the epic engineer goggles! And with with the two raid instances, moreover, new crafting recipes land in Outland that will give your virtual hero an item upgrade or two. Here are just a few examples:
We also gain access to subsequent weapon upgrades with Stage 2:
For the level 3 version of the weapons you need on the one hand five Nethervortex each (also only available from phase 2) and on the other hand the level 2 version of the corresponding item.
Destroy the mad Lady Vashj and her vile minions in her wet lair - the Cave of the Serpentshrine.
Penetrate the heart of a crystalline fortress to end the madness that has corrupted Kael'thas Sunwalker and his depraved loyalists.
Take apart your faction's enemies on the battlefield as Arena Season 2 begins! Winning players will earn Arena Points that can be traded in for better equipment to compete against opponents with similar abilities.
Ally with the Ogri'la and Sha'tari Skyguard factions in Outland. Complete daily quests to gain the favor of these factions and earn lucrative rewards.
Use the Guild Bank to share loot from raids and dungeons with your guildmates. This in-game storage space allows guild members to take out or store items and currency. This helps you keep track of what consumable items you have available for your next group activity.
Find like-minded players and new friends with Group Search (default shortcut: i). Simply enter your class and specialization so that your realm's party leaders can invite you to join their party or raid.
Outland faction PvP gear is now unlocked with Phase 2 and requires a Respectable reputation level to purchase. These are items sold in Thrallmar, Honor Hold, Expedition of Cenarius, Sha'tar, Lower Quarter, and Guardians of Time.
