Blizzard: Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 will not be released until 2022 at the earliest

The new year has only arrived in its second month, but already there is news from Blizzard that should make many players sad: Neither the online shooter Overwatch 2 nor the action RPG Diablo 4 will be released in 2021. This info comes straight from Activision Blizzard's investor conference. Exact release dates are still missing for both games. However, Activision Blizzard says 2022 will be a big and important year for the company.

However, the fact that Diablo 4 will not be released in 2021 comes as a surprise to few fans. After all, the developers keep them up to date in their blog: currently, the ARPG is still in alpha.

How long will Overwatch function without new content?

Previously, there was still hope that Overwatch 2 could even appear at BlizzConline - after all, the new season of the online shooter begins then. However, after the denial of a release in 2021, it looks like there will be no major innovations in Overwatch for now. After all, the developers had emphasized that Echo is the last heroine before the release of Part 2. Because of this, players are slowly losing fun with the online shooter, which seems to have been stuck in a content drought for quite some time.

It remains to be seen if Blizzcon Online will bring more information - such as concrete release dates or release schedules for the two games.

Have you guys run out of steam when it comes to Overwatch? Are you looking forward to Diablo 4? What are you hoping to see at Blizzcon Online? Let us know in the comments!
